Functional Family Therapy is now HEART

At Life Management Center, our commitment to strengthening families and supporting children remains at the heart of everything we do.

As a result of changes in state funding, our Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Program has come to an end. While this marks the conclusion of one chapter, it also provides an opportunity to thoughtfully evolve how we serve families in our community. We are pleased to announce the launch of the HEART Team (Healing, Empathy, and Recovery Treatment), a new program that will continue providing the family-centered, evidence-based services that children and families have come to know and trust.

The HEART Team was created to build on the strengths of our previous program while continuing to address the unique needs of children, caregivers, and families. Our mission remains unchanged: to strengthen family relationships, improve communication, reduce risk factors, and promote long-term stability and family permanency through compassionate and effective treatment.

One important difference with the HEART Team is that many services will now be billed through insurance rather than supported through state funding. We understand that navigating insurance coverage can sometimes feel overwhelming, and our team is committed to making the transition as smooth as possible. We will work closely with families to help them understand the process and access the services they need.

We are incredibly grateful for the trust that families, community partners, and referral sources have placed in our team over the years. Your partnership has played a vital role in the success of the children and families we serve, and we look forward to continuing that work through the HEART Team.

We anticipate opening referrals soon and will share additional details about eligibility requirements, referral criteria, and the referral process in the coming weeks.
