Published on July 9, 2026 by LMC
TALLAHSSEE, FL- PANAMA CITY, FL (July 1, 2026) – As Apalachee Center and Life Management Center advance toward full integration to establish a strategic behavioral health partnership, the organizations are taking a significant next step by integrating their Mobile Response Team (MRT) services into a single, unified regional team.
This collaborative initiative expands crisis response coverage to 14 counties across North Florida—creating one of the largest mobile crisis response service areas in the state. The combined MRT launches on July 1, 2026, marking a key milestone in the organizations’ shared vision to strengthen behavioral health care coordination across the region.
MRTs provide 24/7, on-site crisis intervention and stabilization for individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies. By combining resources and expertise, Apalachee Center and LMC aim to improve service consistency, efficiency, and access to immediate mental health support for individuals and families in need.
Apalachee Center President and CEO, Dr. Jay Reeve said, “Apalachee Center and Life Management Center, working with our community partners at NWF Health, are very excited about this next step towards integrating our services across the Panhandle. The Mobile Response Team is one of the most important tools we have to ensure rapid responses to behavioral health crises. We look forward to increasing accessibility and strengthening our ability to provide timely support for individuals in need throughout our region.”
Through this collaborative MRT model, both organizations will enhance coverage consistency, strengthen crisis response capacity, and streamline service coordination. The initiative supports ongoing efforts to create a fully integrated behavioral health system while honoring the legacy and strengths of both organizations and expanding access to high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the Big Bend and the Panhandle. For immediate crisis support, individuals can call 800-342-0774 — one call. one team. 24/7.
