When a mental health crisis appears, there needs to be an immediate and comprehensive response. At Life Management Center, our crisis services team is here to help.
A mental health crisis looks different for everyone. If you or a loved one experiences a crisis, it’s important to know how to get the help and care you need. Just like with a physical health emergency, it’s important to address a mental health crisis quickly and effectively.
A mental health crisis is defined as a situation in which a person’s behavior puts them at risk of hurting themselves or others and/or prevents them from being able to care for themselves or function effectively in the community.*
A mental health crisis will look different for everyone, depending on their individual situation, the nature of their mental illness, and their personality. Any of the following behaviors may indicate that someone is experiencing a mental health crisis:
